Guys, at least i can tell you how embarassing it is to go for a sallon appointment and have dandruff flakes from your hair everywhere.🙈 I used to have very sturbon dandruff until i was determined to put the dandruff in check.
Dandruff is caused by a fungus (malassezia). The level of sensitivity of people to fatty acids found in the scalp caused by sebum ( the secretion of oily sebaceous glands on the scalp) is what causes dandruff.
Unlike the myth that oil or hair cream keeps dandruff away, i found it to cause more harm than good. Dandruff thrives in moist scalps. The first thing i did was to reduce the amount of oil i put on my hair.
- Vinegar :
Vinegar helps in treating dry and itchy scalp. The acidic content of vinegar is highly beneficial to reduce flaking and itching. Add 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water in a spray bottle and apply lt on the scalp 30 minutes before washing off.
- Baking soda:
Baking soda as we know feels grainy and it helps to gently exfoilate the dead skin on the scalp. So add a little quantity of baking baking soda into your shampoo and gently scrub your scalp with it. Overtime you will notice the dandruff becomes less visible.
These simple steps can go a long way in helping you acheive that healthy dandruff free hair.
I hope you try it out and let me know how it went. ❤
